Terms of Participation

Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Participation ("TOP") supplement the hp.com Terms of Use. By using the HP Virtual Events Central Website ("Site"), you are agreeing to these TOP as well as the hp.com Terms of Use and the HP Online Privacy Statement (collectively the "Terms"). If you do not accept the Terms, do not use this website.

If there is a conflict between the hp.com Terms of Use and these TOP, the hp.com Terms of Use control.

The following terms govern your participation in the Site. It is up to the HP Site Administrators and Webinar Administrators to enforce the Terms in their discretion.

Site Description

The Site makes available virtual booths, web casts, demonstrations, and networking opportunities with HP and the Event Sponsors. The Event Sponsors participating on the Site may be HP business partners such as customers, suppliers, independent software vendors, software developers, system integrators, resellers or consultants that seek to provide relevant information and solutions.

The Site displays both content created by HP and content independently created by the Event Sponsors participating on the Site. HP is not responsible for and does not control the content displayed by Event Sponsors. HP is also not responsible for and does not control the representations made by the Event Sponsors, nor does it endorse or recommend the products, services, or solutions in any way. The Site provides users with an opportunity to submit, post, display, transmit and/or exchange information, ideas, opinions, or other materials on the Site (collectively, the "Postings").

HP may monitor the Site to ensure compliance with the Terms but is not obligated to do so. The Site is not a direct support channel for contacting HP. If HP support is needed, please contact us through email, chat, or phone. For complete contact information, please see http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/wwcontact_us.html

General Rules of Conduct

To ensure a safe and productive virtual event, you agree to observe these interaction rules:

Be respectful. Respect your fellow users by keeping your tone positive and your comments constructive. Respect people's time and attention by providing complete information about your question or suggestions.

Be relevant. Make sure your contributions are relevant to this virtual event and to the specific category or board where you post. If you have a new question, start a new thread rather than interrupting a conversation.

Obey the law and keep your word. Don't post anything that would violate any law, or any contractual agreement (copyright, trade secret, or otherwise), or nondisclosure agreement that you have signed.

Protect privacy - yours and others'. Don't share anything about yourself that you would not want to see on a road-side billboard. Don't post contact or other personal information - your own or anyone else's - or any content that you receive in one-to-one communications without the author's consent.

Evaluate Content - Remember that the content may be generated by third party suppliers and your peers. Apply the same good judgment in evaluating information and advice you may find on this Site as you would apply to evaluating information anywhere on the Internet.

Think before you Post. You may not use, or allow others to use, your registration membership to communicate, post or transmit:

  • Content that is abusive, obscene, vulgar, defamatory, threatening, bigoted, hateful, racially offensive, vulgar, obscene, hateful, fraudulent, or which discloses private or personal matters concerning any person.
  • "Rants", "slams", legal threats, political statements, religious statements, or commentary.
  • Content that solicits, discusses, or promotes the use of an illegal substance or illegal activities.
  • Advertising, promotional materials, or other forms of solicitation including chain letters, pyramid schemes, class action suits, or charitable appeals.
  • Personal e-mail addresses, phone numbers, addresses, private information such as social security numbers, or other contact information that is not their own, including, but not limited to HP employee's email addresses.

Do no Harm: You may not interfere in any way with the operation of the Site or with a fellow user's chat box, including, but not limited to, mail or "post" bombing, news bombing, other flooding techniques, deliberate attempts to overload a system and broadcast attacks, or attempts to avoid messaging blocking.

Cooperate with Site Moderators and Administrators. You may not evade bans or suspensions or otherwise disregard directions from Site moderators or administrators.
